Ruth Sulke divides her time between London and Hong Kong, where she moved in 1949 and still spends half the year. In 1960 she began studying ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, and is a demonstrator of the Sōgetsu school. She also specialises in ceramic sculpture, which she has exhibited widely.
